Jason helps define the stylistic elements of anthology films. Michael embraces the very British Horror vibe of the movie. And for some reason, Dustin can’t stop using the term urtext. Cat’s Eye (1985)
As always a fun episode. Did I miss it or why was there no (or maybe not yet) mention of “Southbound”? One of the best anthologies from the last years in my Opinion. I know it has it’s haters, but I love the whole mood. Maybe you could even call it a hyperlink Movie, as the stories all are connected in some way or another. Looking forward to your take on Cat’s Eye, a Movie I’ve last seen 30 years ago or so…
Good catch on Southbound. It seems like that one slipped through the cracks on us for a good mention. After some research, it seems only Jason has seen it between us; he wasn’t the fondest of it haha. The rest of us will have to give it a watch down the road to weigh in on it too.
Oh no Jason… well at least we have “Brimstone” ; )
